The ADI-2 Pro is a truly high performance AD/DA converter with sample rates up to 768 kHz as well as DSD record and Direct DSD playback, USB 2.0 DAC, USB 2.0 class compliant interface and high-end headphone amplifier from RME. It’s unparalleled specifications and features deliver crystal transparency and a professional performance that makes it the right choice for mastering and measurement applications as well as the ultimate tool for audiophiles everywhere.
Strictly limited to 500 units worldwide, the RME ADI-2 Pro Anniversary Edition, (AE), celebrates 20 years of RME audio. With the tech specs basically identical to the silver ADI-2 Pro, the AE comes decked out in an all-black housing.
The 4-channel AD-converter: AK5574 from the Japanese high-end brand Asahi Kasei Microdevices, (AKM), supporting 786 kHz sample rate and DSD recording, is used in a dual mono design, with 3 dB improved signal to noise ratio. Two premium DACs : AK4490 are used for two separate stereo outputs. Internal audio processing like EQs, crossfeed and spectral analysis, is done by a high performance DSP with 2.17 Giga FLOPS (2882 MIPS), delivering enough computing power to work even at 768 kHz sample rate.
