SL-G700

Network / Super Audio CD Player

Grand Class, High-quality Sound Design

Announced January 2019

Technics today unveiled the new SL-G700 Network / Super Audio CD Player. The SL-G700 is a multi-digital player that covers most of the digital audio media available today, from traditional CD/SACD to the latest high-res and many streaming services, and plays them all back in the highest possible quality.

Premium High-grade D/A Converter and Dual Mono Construction D/A Circuit

For analogue audio output, the D/A circuit is one of the most important circuit blocks since it recreates the original analogue waveform from a digital source, such as a CD. For the D/A converters, Asahi Kasei Microdevices' top-of-the-line DAC AK4497, with their high S/N ratio and low distortion, are isolated for the left and right channels. The power supply for the D/A converters is separated into five sections according to the application, and supplied individually.

The power supply for the clock employs an original Battery Driven Circuit System to achieve high-accuracy D/A conversion. The Dual Mono Construction and symmetrical layout eliminate mutual interference between left and right channels, taking the reproduction of sound imaging and sound space recorded in the source to a higher dimension.

UB9000EG/EB

Ultra HD Blu-ray Player

High-Res Audio Playback

Announced Feb. 2018

The reference-class UB9000EG/EB offers not only high picture quality but also extremely high sound quality thanks to its analogue audio circuits, including a dedicated audio power supply, a high-performance D/A converter*, and XLR balanced output. Housed in a newly-developed vibration-reducing chassis with high rigidity and lower position for the centre of gravity, the UB9000EG/EB produces excellent sound quality.

The new Panasonic Ultra HD Blu-ray players are designed for high-resolution audio reproduction. In addition to conventional WAV/FLAC/MP3/AAC/WMA formats, DSD (11.2MHz/5.6MHz/2.8MHz) ALAC and AIFF music files can also be reproduced. Simply connect to a home audio system to enjoy music sources equivalent to studio master sound quality.

* UB9000EG/EB adopts the AK4493 that is a new generation Premium 32-bit stereo D/A converter with VELVET SOUND technology.

DMR-UBZ1

Blu-ray Disc Recorder

Premium DIGA Supporting Ultra HD Blu-ray Playback

Released Nov. 2015

The DMR-UBZ1 is the world first*1 Blu-ray disc recorder that supports playing back “Ultra HD Blu-ray” format that is the next generation 4K Blu-ray disc standards. The DMR-UBZ1 is a premium model of the “DIGA” series: high resolution picture and high quality sound Blu-ray disc recorders. It adopts a new body with high rigidity and strong base sound by newly developed drive base, center frame structure and four layered base chassis. High-carbon cast iron insulators for vibration damping characteristics and three block independent architecture that suppresses noise interference are designed into the chassis for high quality sound in the DMR-UBZ1. In addition, proven parts with previous premium models such as high quality sound capacitor, 192kHz/32-bit DAC*2, Low noise operational amplifier for hi-fi audio, OFC power transformer, high-voltage schottky barrier diode, common mode filter and high-capacitance switching MOSFET are adopted.

*1 Among commercially available Blu-ray disc recorders.  Researched by Panasonic Corporation, it is current on the 13rd Nov. 2015.

*2 As 32-bit, 192kHz D/A converter, the AK4390 is adopted to the DMR-UBZ1.
