TEAC × AKM Special Round-table Discussion
beyerdynamic Tesla technology for unrivalled sound quality
2017 New Product Release
The Aventho Wireless is an on-ear wearing style closed system BluetoothR headphones with beyerdynamic's Tesla technology. Beyerdynamic has achieved unsurpassed sound quality in the headphone sector. Tesla sound transducers are characterized by a strong magnetic driver and an extremely high-resolution playback without any tonal coloring. Aventho Wireless is an exquisite new product that has opened up doors to a new era for beyerdynamic's history.
* The Aventho Wireless integrates an advanced D/A converter, the AK4376A.
USB DAC/Integrated Amplifier
Integrated amplifier with Bluetooth function and a dual mono USB DAC
2017 New Product Release
The AI-503 is an integrated amp and USB DAC that supports inputs up to 11.2MHz DSD and 384kHz/32-bit PCM. The DAC/preamp, which is the heart of the unit, follows the same design concept of our UD-503 and adopts a dual-mono circuit design that is fully balanced. Separate AK4490 D/A converters - made by Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation - are used for the left and right channels. In addition to a USB digital input (for Windows/Mac computers), optical/coaxial digital input and RCA analog input, we have also enabled high-resolution wireless audio listening by including a LDAC-compatible BluetoothR receiver. Furthermore, with a combined 3.5mm optical digital/stereo mini jack on the front panel, the unit supports wired, as well as wireless, input from DAPs.
Dual-monaural USB DAC that supports 11.2MHz DSD with built-in fully-balanced/parallel-unbalanced headphone amplifier
2015 NEW PRODUCT RELEASE
High-performance AK4490 DACs support 11.2MHz DSD and 384kHz/32-bit PCM
For DAC chips, which are the keys to digital audio, we have used AK4490 DACs, which are made by Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation and have an established reputation for use in high-end audio equipment.* The VELVET SOUND architecture provides the fine expressive capability suitable for the playback of high-resolution audio sources that reproduce sound waves outside the human audible range. Furthermore, a newly developed low distortion technology enables performance of S/(N+D) = 112 dB. This is the best level in the industry for a 120dB class DAC.
Not only is native playback with direct processing of 11.2MHz DSD signals possible, support is provided for an even greater variety of high-resolution audio sources, including 384kHz/32-bit PCM digital input. We have realized expression of the fine smooth detail and outstanding sense of sound placement that characterize high-resolution audio sources.
