The impossible takes a little longer - from the very first idea in 2011 until the sales start at the end of 2018 the all-new BRAX DSP went through the longest and most intensive development process in the history of Audiotec Fischer. 

The "heart" consists of no less than three (3!) of the most advanced Sigma350 series fixed-point 64-bit audio DSP's with the incredible processing power of 3.6 billion MAC operations per second.

This allows to run the whole system on a native 192kHz sampling rate, extending the audio frequency range to 80kHz. The signal conversion is handled by the best sounding A/D: AK5572 and D/A: AK4490 converters from Asahi Kasei Microdevices (AKM) with specifications beyond imagination.

HELIX DSP MINI

Digital High-Res 6-channel Signal Processor

Small in size, huge in sound!

High tech in compact dimensions – despite its size, the HELIX DSP MINI is crammed with state-of-the-art technology. A 64-bit Audio DSP of the latest generation in combination with a sampling rate of 96kHz and a high-resolution audio bandwidth up to more than 40kHz provides phenomenal sound quality.

The MINI achieves high-grade specifications such as 10 to 44,000Hz frequency response, 0.001% or less distortion, 106dB or more S/N ratio, and 4V output voltage.

The MINI uses a single chip audio CODEC, AK4627 that includes four ADC channels and six DAC channels. The converters are designed with Enhanced Dual Bit architecture for the ADC and Advanced Multi-Bit architecture for the DAC, enabling very low noise performance.

An impressive range of improvements make the new HELIX DSP PRO MK2, (MK2), a great tool to bring a sound system to ultimate sound quality.

The MK2 allows to handle all signals with the doubled sampling rate of 96kHz.  Thus the audio bandwidth is no longer limited to usual values like 22kHz but allows an extended frequency response to more than 40kHz.  Doubling the sampling rate requires significantly higher DSP power as the number of possible arithmetic operations is halved. 

The MK2 achieves high-grade specifications such as 10 to 44,000Hz frequency response, 0.0005% or less distortion, 116dB or more S/N ratio, and 8V output voltage.  It is also equipped with 8 x RCA/Cinch, 8 x Highlevel, 1 x Optical SPDIF, 1 x Coaxial SPDIF in input, and 10 x RCA/Cinch in output.

* The MK2 uses high-class two premium D/A converters: AK4456 and one A/D converter: AK5558 of the latest generation with a native resolution of 32-bit instead of the common 24-bit.
